Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using Impera. They govern your use of our cybersecurity platform including phishing protection, password vault, VPN access, dark web monitoring, and all related services.
Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Impera ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Impera Network, Inc. ("Impera", "we", "us", or "our"). We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. If you are creating an account on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
Description of Service
Impera provides a cybersecurity platform including, but not limited to: real-time phishing and malicious URL detection via browser extension, an encrypted password vault, VPN access, dark web monitoring, family protection features, and a compliance dashboard for business users.
The Service is provided on a subscription basis. Features available to you depend on your subscription plan. We reserve the right to modify, add, or remove features at any time with reasonable notice.
Impera is not a substitute for comprehensive cybersecurity practices. We strongly recommend maintaining regular software updates, using strong unique passwords, and following industry security best practices in addition to using our Service.
Account Registration & Security
To access most features of the Service, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep this information up to date.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must immediately notify us at support@impera.network of any unauthorized use of your account or any other breach of security.
Impera will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to comply with this security obligation. You may not share your account credentials with third parties or allow others to access your account.
Subscription, Billing & Payments
Impera offers subscription plans billed monthly or annually. Current pricing is displayed at impera.network/pricing. We reserve the right to change pricing with at least 30 days notice to existing subscribers.
Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. By subscribing, you authorize us (via Stripe) to charge your payment method on a recurring basis. Your subscription will automatically renew unless you cancel before the renewal date.
Annual subscriptions are billed in full at the start of each billing period. Monthly subscriptions are billed at the start of each monthly period. All prices are in USD unless otherwise stated.
Refunds: We offer a 14-day free trial for new accounts โ no credit card required. After a paid period begins, refunds are issued at our discretion. If you believe you were charged in error, contact support@impera.network within 30 days.
Cancellation & Termination
You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings or by contacting support@impera.network. Upon cancellation, your subscription will remain active until the end of the current billing period.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account immediately if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, attempt to harm our systems or other users, or for any other reason at our sole discretion with reasonable notice.
Upon termination, your right to access the Service ceases immediately. We will retain your data for 30 days after cancellation, after which it will be permanently deleted per our Privacy Policy.
Acceptable Use Policy
You agree not to use the Service to: (a) violate any applicable law or regulation; (b) transmit any malicious code, malware, or harmful content; (c) attempt to gain unauthorized access to any system or network; (d) reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service; (e) resell or sublicense access to the Service without written permission.
You agree not to: abuse the API rate limits, scrape or harvest data from the Service, use automated tools to access the Service in ways that overload our infrastructure, or impersonate Impera or any other entity.
Violation of this Acceptable Use Policy may result in immediate account suspension or termination without refund.
Intellectual Property
The Service, including all software, algorithms, interfaces, documentation, and content, is owned by Impera Network, Inc. and is protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right, title, or interest in the Service beyond the limited license to use it as described herein.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Service, nor may you reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code of the Service, unless applicable laws prohibit these restrictions or you have our written permission.
You retain ownership of any data you submit to the Service. By submitting data, you grant us a limited license to use that data solely for the purpose of providing and improving the Service.
Privacy & Data
Your privacy is important to us. Our Privacy Policy (available at impera.network/privacy) explains how we collect, use, and protect your data. By using the Service, you agree to our Privacy Policy.
Impera uses zero-knowledge encryption for your password vault. This means your vault passwords are encrypted on your device before transmission and we cannot access them. This also means we cannot recover them if you lose your master password.
We may use aggregated, anonymized data about threat patterns and service usage to improve our detection algorithms and Service quality. This data cannot be used to identify individual users.
Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IMPERA DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
IMPERA DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR COMPLETELY SECURE. CYBERSECURITY IS AN ONGOING EFFORT AND NO SOLUTION PROVIDES 100% PROTECTION. YOU REMAIN RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR OWN SECURITY PRACTICES.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL IMPERA BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF IMPERA HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID TO US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be resolved by binding arbitration under the American Arbitration Association rules, except that either party may seek injunctive or other equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction.
You agree to resolve disputes with Impera on an individual basis and not as part of any class, consolidated, or representative action.
